saturday bits and bobs

a day spent doing not a lot of anything really. took son-two for breakfast, son-one went to karate and then son-four had a birthday party. we played some card games, trying out a new book we found with kids card games. lots of fun actually. sons one two and three ended up playing poker. apparently son-three beat them all. and hubby joined in but gave up when the boys beat him too!! i knitted and read and wrote and tried to whittle down the dvr shows!!
the snow is slowly disappearing but it's still too cold out. i was anxious to get out of the house for a bit so just went for a short drive to look for walking shoes. didn't like any of the skechers or nikes (or any of the others) i tried on.
am enjoying some new word games on facebook.....i rarely win but it keeps my little brain oiled!! ;-)

eta - for some reason i keep saving these posts and forget to come back to publish so they're ending up blogged a full day later!! :(
