wishing we were there

these photos taken from our first morning jaunt on the beach, sunday a week ago. we walked to the beach early and it was a beautiful sunny and bright day. we were just going to walk on the beach, but in the end, the kids splashed in the ocean and dug in the sand and four of them were quite wet and sandy when we walked back to the house (where we rinsed off, changed and jumped in the pool).
but the photos that day were fun. i decided to shoot a bunch of them just playing, running and leaping.
and they each had their own way of playing. girlfriend wasn't too keen on the sand on her feet or the water on her feet (she got over that by the end of the week), ds1 splashed everyone and liked sinking in the sand, ds2 was anxious to go all the way in and jumped the waves, ds3 just wanted to dig his hands in the sand and make little sandy puddles, and ds4 ran and ran, chased the seagulls and ghost crabs and each of his brothers.
