whether the weather

this morning we woke up to grey clouds and an ominous looking sky. eventually the skies opened up just when i was in target with girlchild. the thunder boomed and the lightning flashed and the rain came down hard and fast. and we tried to get loaded into the car as fast as we could. but of course, i was soaked in the end. she was barely damp!

all the way home, thru torrential rain, i drove very cautiously along the windy roads. i don't like driving that stretch of road on a clear day, and certainly not with the large tractor trailers and other speeding cars. i followed an oversized truck part of the way, a nice comfortable slower.than.usual speed and then moved ahead when the rain lessened.

the rain followed us home too. thankfully i could unpack the car in the dry garage. and by the time the school bus brought ds4 home an hour later, the rain had stopped although the sun wasn't visible at all.

tonight though, the moon is peeking out from behind some fluffy clouds. :-)

at least everyone feels better now. all this morning's impending weather certainly put everyone on edge!!
