not this week

so there i was writing about how i wanted to be at the beach again. but it's a good thing we're not in the outer banks (NC) this week, even though they had gorgeous weather at the beginning of this week. they're in the hurricane path atm. it doesn't look like they have rain yet, but it's on its way. we've been there in the middle of a tropical storm (and we left early too, under the beach house was flooded, the waves were up to the beach entrance, but it was a different house as well). it wasn't fun at all.

that was the year after katrina. i think we were all spooked.
