lightbulb moment, or not

i seem to have great ideas for blog posts when i am nowhere near the computer or paper/pen to write them down!! so there i am today, drinking my coffee on the deck and i'm thinking of all the great things i could write about on my blog. but the kids come out, my dad asks me a question, i am distracted. i get up and come in the house. i even plurked about it.

and now? it's lost. i cannot recall one single idea. i'm even trying to imagine myself sat out on the deck, drinking my coffee, feeling rather relaxed and anticipating the day. ya know, like a zen thing. calm, mellow and moving to another place and time. eyes closed. typing away, right now. just trying to think back to where i was, what i was thinking.

and. . .

i.got.nothing!

oddly enough yesterday i had been contemplating this as well, also over my coffee, but before the storm came through.

and tonight, sorry. i'm still a dim version of myself. i have these brilliant ideas. and they are sucked right outta my brain.

but also tonight, i am hooked on the fact that there is an incandescent lightbulb that has been lit for more than 106 years! how totally cool is that!?! the bigger boys (and hubby, lol) are watching the ever popular mythbusters. and it was on there. i looked it up (see the links, voila). and it's not the only one! the oldest is in livermore, calif, but there are slightly younger ones in texas, new york and oklahoma. who knew!!

i'm fascinated by these little factoids. the ones that i file away at the back of my brain and then will so interestingly come up in conversation at some point in my daily life.

i might not have that amazing blog idea, but i've got the lightbulb, lol ;-)

  2. This makes me think of those little lightbulbs that come on over cartoon characters' heads when they have an idea. If only I could get my idea bulb to stay on. =)
