whatever it was

i felt much better today than yesterday and was up early enough to actually do some things. nothing amazing of course, unless you count three loads of laundry in that. breakfasts and lunches and dinner for the kids, a drive out to the bigger target with my dad. that was nice as i had a chance to chat to him about his recent trip to northern california. he's going to egypt next month for 11 days. i'm very excited for him. it's a place i would love to visit, one day hopefully i will.

i am starting to think about my upcoming november writing challenge. i haven't decided what story idea i will use, there are a few floating around in my head. i don't actually have an ending for any of them, so i have been thinking about how to wrap them up with a nice little bow on top.

we have two playdates this week, one monday afternoon and one friday morning. and tomorrow i am going to try to get tickets for a concert on friday. there are a limited amount so i am dubious about whether i will get them at all. but i will try!!

the little ones have been drawing pictures for me all day today. girlchild's idea of making hair for the pictures is to cut the edges of the paper. i'm still leery of her and the scissors (her hair is starting to grow back, S-L-O-W-L-Y). but i hung her picture and she kept cutting it. so now it's just slightly less than half of what it was! ;-) i said no more scissors and they're in a box way up high.

and halloween costumes (someone asked me, can't recall who or where) --  only the three younger ones are really into it this year. and  i won't allow scary as part of halloween (and i'm keeping quiet over the "i dislike halloween, let's just bring on christmas" theme). so there's princess (big surprise there), bob the builder and fireman! ;-)

not sure what i want to be, maybe i will take that dare (robin!!) and find some pink spray on hair colour and be a "variation of pink" for the day :-) i am going to two school halloween parties! lol :-)
