rain rain go away

a lovely rainy windy and chilly day here under the pink umbrella! kids off to school today, mama stood in the rain holding extra large red and white striped umbrella, child and mama shivering underneath. three times i did that this morning. we can't stand near the street, cos the cars go past madly splashing!!
i did at least talk girlchild out of standing outside with us. she was miserable about that, but even more miserable when we had to huddle under the umbrella to walk from the car to her school a little bit later.
and my 2 hrs of freedom were spent whirring thru target tossing new sweat pants for the boys, some christmas presents, girl child's coveted fancy nancy book, and various cereals, breads and snacks.
rushed home to clear up morning mess, make and eat lunch and watch an old episode of house!

and the phillies game last night? delayed due to the terrible weather!! snow flurries expected tonight, snow flurries tomorrow! funniest thing. . . !!
