i was going to do something different today. instead of logging onto blogger around 9pm to write something intelligent when all i really wanted to do was flop on the sofa and watch senseless television, i was going to make a sort of plurk-like post and write in little blurb form all the bits i've done all day. i did half of that and realised how lame and boring my daily life is. and why in goodness name would anyone want to willingly read that nonsense when there are so many more interesting bloggers to read with so much more interesting stuff to say. and ya know, i've often thought how amazing those other bloggers are. the ones who spend all that time creating those awesome and great blog posts with the incredible photos and whatnots AND they do great projects with their kids and they KNIT and they BAKE and COOK. and they drive to all their kids events and volunteer for the PTA and the church. all that while working part time and keeping their homes so very neat and there's no nanny or babysitter.
but in the end, i have stopped reading most of those fabulous blogs. cos there is no way in this world i can ever measure up to that. my daily life is boring and dull. it involves cooking and cleaning and miles of laundry. and picking my kids up from school events or driving them to their friends. staying up late to help print photos for a project with photos of ramses ii or little clay figures holding up toothpicks. only i have no photos to share cos my memory card is full and i haven't had time to upload them or save them to a cd-r yet.
but i did play two games of candy land with my girl today, and two games of zingo. and i watched angelina ballerina with her. and we all played soccer in the yard. and we made popcorn and we played legos and we did all sorts of other fun things. eventhough i have a migraine and feel like doggie do and wish i was in bed with a heating pad a johnny depp movie or 4 hours of david tennant oozing off my dvd screen.

ya know what this all means? not a lot actually. we all have a place in this world of blogger or plurk. my kids are crazy and full on wild most of the time. i blog to relieve myself of some of that. not to be special or better.

Well, that certainly doesn't sound like a boring day to me! It's a lot more exciting than what I did -- boring work. Kudos to you for doing what's most important.
