random spottings

i was driving thru town today, on the way to picking up princess from preschool, with son-four in the car. as i'm waiting at an intersection, two decked out dunkin donuts cars pass in front of me, one yellow and one pink, with the giant coffee cup stuck to the back of each car. it was the funniest thing (to me). but son-four spots the fancy yellow sportscar not the weird cup accessorised vehicles. no time for a photo of course. and there are none online!

and then three times today, son-four and i see what we call a "digger" driving along the road. first time, down the road in front of our house, a yellow front and back loader. tooling along doing maybe 25 mph. no lights, dude in a yellow hazard vest, flashy lights on. son-four loved that.
then again, girl-child and i see it on the way to school.
and again, son-four and i spot it again, the same "digger" says he. there's "only one mom". driving towards us coming back from preschool.
weird!

and while we were packing up after the playground after preschool in the afternoon,  a breeze shook the tree and at least a dozen of those little green round fruits on our head (no idea what kind of tree, the fruits look like old nasty apples, but they're all brown inside). but they fell with a huge thunk on the ground, as though someone clapped cupped hands together.

i think i need to carry my camera around!
