cheers or jeers....

the sears repairman came to our house today. in the rain. in his white van with a slightly peeling "sears repairs" on the door.

he fixed the fridge and freezer.
new fan
we hope he fixed the fridge and freezer for good.
i am dubious.
not over him fixing it, i think it might last for a little while. i think the fridge is haunted or possessed, or it doesn't like us. it's always been too noisy, too cold or too warm or snowing in the freezer.
we'll see.
the warranty for the repair is 90 days.
i'm thinking about day 91 we'll need to ring him again.;-)

i was actually really looking forward to getting a new fridge. this newly fixed one is only a few years old. and i like it, but i want a stainless steel kitchen. or i did want a stainless kitchen till i found out just recently that the stainless fridge doors are NOT magnetic! omg, where would i put my kids crafts? the school schedules? the magnet with the number for the pizza place we have on speed dial?

and in my quest to locate a decent photo of the fridge i do want, i found that i am not the only one who wants a nice stainless steel fridge look but might want to sacrifice the magnetic-ness of it all!! :-)

and fridgehenge brought a smile to my face and i had to share the link with everyone. one of those creepy roadside american places that make me want to just shake my head in wonder! it sounds like it's been dismantled now though.

i guess we're lucky to have only the one hopefullyworking fridge in our house tonight ;-)
