it's just about that time of the week for miscellaneous random babble. . . .finally got to walk today, after having to stop to chat to two people (that i knew) on my way out of preschool, one on the way into TJs and another inside TJs. now i love to see and chat to people i know. i like to hear the news and gossip. love to catch up. but i was on a time limit, that being the two hours of FREE time i have twice a week. by the time i got home, inhaled some lunch, switched the laundry over and got changed, i didn't get out the door till nearly 1050. a nice leisurely no need to rush back walk wasn't quite on the table today apparently. but i did my mile and a third, listened to some tunes, then came home, finished laundry and waited for the school bus in the few minutes of rain shower that we had this morning.
ironically it rained again later this evening, and it started and stopped while on the way to the hairdresser!
i signed up for NaNoWritMo (national novel writing month) for november 2008. not sure what i will be doing with that just now. or how much i will be sharing formally. but i've signed up and i grabbed the button. and even if i make half of the 50,000 word total, that's probably 20,000 more words than i have set into type already. and this is not about quality, it's about quantity. so that alleviates my constant need to edit as i write. it's a bad habit i've had for ever. made worse by the backspace and delete key. . . !
i am returning my book club book this weekend. if i haven't finished it, i am not going to. i have already started the shack, then i am reading another elin hilderbrand novel (on reserve at the library).
after that quick evening rain, the weather turned chilly. it was warm this afternoon, cloudy and sunny, and actually hot at times with the humidity. we went to the playground and the kids were sweaty when we left. not the usual october weather at all. tomorrow's much cooler.

hope you like the shack....it made me think some at points.
