our trek to the beach took 12 hrs in mostly heavy traffic. we've never really driven here in light traffic, so i dunno how fast we could get here on a good day! ;-)but we only stopped twice (once for lunch at friendly's and then for gas/potty). the kids did fantastic, and thank goodness for the dvd player with dual screens we have for this long journey. garfield was all the rage, and so was underdog and kipper :-) and i have still have a few "car presents" to pull out when we go home.
our rental house is decorated in early pirate theme! it's kind of funny to choose such a truly maniacal theme really. jack sparrow it isn't....mind, i'd be happy to have it BE lots of jack sparrow and will turner ;-) i have to take some photos, although i can't share them till we're home since i left that cable at home!! :-(
on the top of the house there's a deck, a sort of widow's walk i guess. it's very nice, with a view of the ocean (what i could see as the sun was vanishing into the water).
we'll see the rest of the area in the morning...
Sounds lovely but not quite sure about the decor, although my guess is you won't be looking at that much! Looking forward to hearing more
