one more month

since it's the last day of november 2008, i thought i would post something today. i didn't do the NaBloPoMo this year. it was fun last year, and most months i manage a pretty average once a day posting. but i decided that for MY november nablo i wouldn't feel obligated to post every single day!! at least not on this blog ;-)

after a couple of bright and chilly days here under the umbrella, it's rainy and damp and cold now. both the day before and thanksgiving were good days.

thanksgiving eve takes us to see santa at the mall each year. one of our family traditions, and this year it was chilly but did not rain! santa was a big hit, even for little girl who did not cry. this year, the santa people were smart and had a small plastic stepstool for the little ones to sit on at santa's feet. AND they were able to hold the "santa bear". huge thing for little girl, who even smiled for the santa photo!

our bribe this year was a visit to the disney store. this is not a place we go often (nor this mall actually). little girl was in princess heaven. all the princess clothes, accessories, dolls, carriages, and the teacart and tea set. absolute princess heaven!! there was even a princess throne. the boys were just as enthralled as she was! girl toys are still pretty exciting for them. that and the massive pile of plush disney characters in the middle of the room! son-two loved the giant mickey mouse ;-)

lol, i think we all need to get out more!!

thanksgiving was spent at home with the family. playing, cooking, watching parades, cartoons and football, eating and laughing. before our company arrived we pushed the children outside to run off some energy for just a little while.

the rest of our weekend is being spent at church and working on school projects. it's less than three weeks till son-four's birthday and just a bit more than that till christmas!
