still. . . .
today was a bit of a blur for me. after getting the boys on their respective buses on time, girlchild and i headed out to her school. since i have to put son-four on the kindergarten bus just about the time we need to leave for preschool, she is always late. the teachers know. and there is, of course, nothing i can do. they wait for her arrival to begin class but i have to hurry her in each morning. it's not ideal, i feel as though we always have to rush through the process.
the hairbow i ordered earlier this month arrived and was left for me in girlchild's class this morning. i just have to remember to put the cash in the envelope and send it in! the bow is gorgeous and will go perfectly with her new pink and white frilly princess dress (from burlington coat factory, she will wear it for photo with santa and for christmas). the other red and black dress is going back to the store. she never liked it at all. and it didn't fit quite as well as it should have either.
i managed a little shopping this morning as well, though for some reason i missed a few items off my list! i ran into a friend at TJs and we chatted for a bit. we're going to get our boys together on friday for a little afterschool (half days) playdate! they will like that...and then we get to chat a bit more! :-)
dinner was a hit tonight. tempura battered shrimp (from TJs), baby potatoes and green beans. it was quite tasty! :-) i figure i can manage to cook at least once a week. :-)
the younger two children have been a bit out of sorts the last few days. i think we are all still suffering the ill effects of this long lingering cold virus. hubby is losing his voice, son-two is coughing, son-one was early to bed, and son-four is just way too mischievous today! and son-three was just active. i sent him outside for a little run around during his homework time. he just could not sit still. it helped marginally but he did manage to complete the work at least.
son-three is one of the multiple "beast" actors in the 3rd grade play beauty and the beast. there are two casts, with multiple children in the larger parts, so the children only need to learn up to 8 lines each. i think he will be an ideal beast. and i mean that in a nice way :-)
no karate last night due to flu shots. lots of homework last night for son-two in order to make up for a sick day friday. thankfully very little homework tonight!
typically the same stuff around here with a few alterations for weather and homework and meals! :-)

It's a tiring old life....
