we had a playdate at our house today!! ds4's friend M and his brother and their mom P came to visit! M's brother L is ds3's age, so the boys happily went off to play. littleprincess thinks M's mom is her playdate, so P and i played games with her! we got the boys in the pool after dd went for her nap. they were out there for about 30 mins before the thunder/lightning came. then we bundled them all indoors and eventually got them directed to build forts out of lincoln logs.all afternoon and evening i've been remembering what i was doing 11 years ago :-) i was in the hospital waiting for ds2 to arrive!! his was my slowest calmest most ordered delivery. his birthday is tomorrow and assuming the weather cooperates we have a morning at the zoo and late lunch at his favourite restaurant planned. then more cinnamon cake and presents tomorrow evening :-)
we've had storms most of the evening, so the boys and girl are having a movie night fest! thankfully the power has stayed on (thankyouverymuch). rather ironic since the last two nights it's gone out for an hour for no obvious reason.
but my crock pot dinner of turkey meatloaf came out good (even if only hubby and i liked it) and the waffles got cooked! we did run out of syrup though ;-)
I've never done a meatloaf in the crockpot. Can you share the receipe? Thanks! Is the storm part of 'Dolly'. I don't know -- I just can't seem to take that name seriously for a hurricane.
