all in a sunday.....

in the mad rush that was our sunday, i never had time to post! never mind. it's not a big deal to miss a day here or there (eventhough i feel as though i ought to have stayed up later and tried to put thought to post....but i didn't).

sunday was a busier than usual day for me. it started out with me taking ds2 out for a sort of birthday breakfast. i enjoy taking him out, he's quieter than the others and we have fun chatting just on our own. away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house. mostly we just people watched at breakfast though...not so much to talk about. and i doubted that he wanted to chat about his upcoming step into middle school (even if i did, so i didn't bring it up). then we ran a few errands and picked up some food for dinner later.

i got a start on the pasta salad for dinner, got changed and headed out again to meet my friend A for lunch at the mall. we were meeting at ruby tuesday, but i wanted to stop thru boscov's to get my crocs. good thing i did too, cos as i feared, the storm that swept through while we were having lunch knocked the power out in parts of the mall. the restaurant was fine, a few dimmed lights. but boscov's actually closed!! we were laughing at my forethought, but things like this happen to me. and since the power goes out so frequently around here with (or without) bad weather, it wasn't that much of a stretch to imagine.

we chatted a bit, then she left to watch the soul (win) with family and i went home to cook dinner since my other friend L was coming over for ds2's bday (a week late). L & i had a good visit and we managed to get her photos off her camera's memory cards and organised a bit into files on my computer. she's coming back in a few weeks so we can burn them to cd-r. some are my family too, so i've got some new photos dating back as far at 2005 when she first got the camera!!

so it was an early day and a late night, but a fun busy and not all that crazy day!! :-)
