buzy buzz buzz

we have to do something about these darn biting bugs! i don't mind the bites so much (well okay, i do). but little girlfriend came up with four bites tuesday. two of which are normal little red slightly swollen dots. the other two are hugely swollen and dark pink and verging on scary looking. these are the six and seventh times she's had an allergic reaction to bug bites. but never at the same time like this. one is on her arm, the other on her foot.

i treat them with motrin (anti-inflamatory) and zyrtec (anti-histamine) by mouth, and cortisone cream for the itchies. as per the doc's instructions from the last few times. we'll see how it looks later on.

the kids play on the outside deck during the day and she comes in with these nasty things from yesterday. it wasn't even twilight yet! now hubby says he will enclose the outside deck. i am seriously afraid to let her out! i'm going to have to try some new bug be gone cream i guess. something with deet though (yuck).
