of books and roses

i cut some roses this morning and spread them around in small vases in the house. they look really pretty.

our visit to trader joe's this morning went well!! plus we got stickers AND balloons, hurray! (and all the other stuff we shopped for, lol).

so i'm reading a new book , and i like it. but it doesn't have the pizazz i was expecting. it seems like it could be so much more. it's not a bad book, i want to see it. and i just cannot see these things happening. but it's a short book and i'm nearly thru it and i want to know what happens to sam. so i'm gonna read it and move on, hehehe ;-)

i finished the aforementioned book. i DID like it. i'm probably overdramatising the lack of detail in the book. i think he writes crime novels too. when i mentioned it to hubby he shrugged off the whole imagery in books idea. sometimes i wonder if i'm the only one who sees life thru the pages of a book.
