all in a week's work

i'm trying to plan a visit down south this summer. i have a vague idea of where i'd like to go and what i'd like to see. but really i just want to get on a bus and take a planned tour. but i don't know if that will fit into the schedule. the city guide arrived in the post today. the map in the guide is teeny tiny!! i really just want to fly there, get a taxi to the hotel, and walk around town. i guess if we stay downtown that's feasible. i haven't got the mental energy to plan these things anymore! ;-)

in other news, school is nearly finished! HURRAY! i am over the end of the year school events...or rather i wish they were OVER! thursday is the 5th grade play and friday is a 2nd grade trip. going as chaperone seemed a good idea at the time....but now i realise it will be HOT on friday and i am going to wilt! ;-)

tomorrow we are going to trader joe's. i haven't been there in two weeks. i am in TJ withdraw! wednesday we have a lunchtime playdate at the park.

saturday is ds1's third birthday party (don't ask, just don't....), i'm not making another cake. he's getting a watermelon with a candle this time around. sunday is our church's first luncheon in the new downstairs! guess someone will clean down there between now and then??

next monday i have two class parties to attend at the same time (work that one out mom). thankfully they are actually near one another....so i am going to slip out of one and go to the other, pick up child and go back to the first one! ;-) hehe!!

friday is the last day of school, a half day at least. ds1 is finished earlier, assuming he has finished his finals. ds2 will be graduating elementary school, and so we will go to that. it's in the morning, hopefully it won't be too hot that morning.

phew....i'm tired just thinking about it all!! but that's okay, then we move into summer activities! eventhough i feel as though spring has just barely arrived! :-)
