tuesday's grey...or not

what a change this morning, getting up to just a tad bit of a brighter sky, even at 6am. not quite pitch black. not light enough to leave the light off in the room of course, but something to anticipate!! and by 630am the sky is definitely bright enough!! i can even see the boys when they stand waiting for the bus just before 7am! the sun was out all day today, still cold and brisk, but for some reason, it seemed warmer outside. or maybe i felt warmer :-)

the kids cheerfully shared their cold with me. son-two is still on the antibiotics for his second bout of strep this year, and he has a cold. how annoying!! son-four and girlchild have leaky noses. and not to be left out, although definitely being left out, is son-three who wants the cold but doesn't have it (lucky ole him).

happy to hear last night that son-one's second degree black belt training will begin next month with the belt ceremony in mid-may. very pleased and proud of him.

son-three is also happily karate kicking his way to his first stripe on his white belt probably later this month. he's doing fantastic.

i'm watching sense and sensibility again, the masterpiece one on pbs. i've seen it before, but i like re-watching them. one day i will read the austen books!!
