hint of spring!

what a beautiful day today. mostly sunny, warm breeze, temps in the 60s. a great day to be outdoors. i managed some time outside with the two littlest kids. they played, got muddy, dug for worms and ran amok. i mostly sat and read my new issue of marie claire (great mag, love that it's a free subscription).

not so good for son-two whose throat is sore again. so we are off to the pediatrician this evening. he just finished the antibiotic for strep two days ago (and he was feeling fine). he's droopy and unhappy and i wish he was well again!!

son-one is off in the woods shooting his sling shot at the trees. he came across a family of deer (a doe and two young deer)...spooked him a bit. but he's not shooting them (he would not ever do that, he's not that kind of kid). he needs to burn off some energy, especially on this rather odd feeling day (the change in temps makes the rest of the world seem strange to me too).
