i've touched on this topic before but it's one that i ponder from time to time. and when i wonder if i ought to continue this blog.originally my blog, like so many others, was a daily journal. i talked about various parts of my day, the kids, being pregnant (or being a milky mama), the highs and lows of motherhood, and all that boring blah stuff in my normal life. this was way back on livejournal.
when i found blogger i moved myself over here. i became more involved in the blogging community, and for ease i emailed my posts in. then of course the blogger revolution started. everyone had a blog, there were whole communities devoted to parenting and gardening and reading or nothing at all. there were famous bloggers, and some not so famous (me, haha). there were fancy graphics and widgets and fancy easy backgrounds.
but i am a writer. i have considered myself a writer since the i picked up a pencil and wrote my first story ate the age of seven. but in the blogging writing community, i felt insignificant. i didn't have the time to devote to a "following". i don't share pretty photos regularly. and so from time to time i feel discontented with blogging.
last november i did the blog posting for a month. and i was quite proud of myself for a post a day. i continued that throughout most of the following year and have only just recently felt it unnecessary to post every single day.
lately i have been trying to post more on a topic. it doesn't always work that way. sometimes i still just post a "what i did with my day", but the majority of those thoughts end up on plurk. i have started to blog more for myself again as well as trying to entertain a broader audience (and my five faithful readers who continuously leave me kind comments and send me sweet emails of support).
so i blog to continue writing, to keep myself involved in the writing world and to share just that small amount of myself with the rest of you, my faithful wonderful and faithful readers! :-)
and cos it's fun!!

well i for one enjoy anything i read of yours ej! ;-)
