one more day

our planned busy day today ended up being more of a lazy at home day with a few runaround activities worked in. ran in and out of TJs today for some NYE food items...then rushed back home to take son-two to the doc's. turns out he's the not so proud owner of a middle ear infection, joy!! so that's ten days of the dreaded amoxicillan and some ear drops. so long as they work, it's okay.  but the red in the amox makes me shudder...they won't make it without and i didn't have the patience to trek over to the other pharmacy and get it done without. so i'm biting my tongue...

the red/green/white lights that were wound around the bannister and looked SO pretty have finally given up. first the greens went out, then a few of the reds, then a couple whites, then half the strand, and finally tonight, the rest of the red and white. very disappointing really. i will have to rethink the lighting on the stairway next christmastime obviously since touching these bulbs apparently is tantamount to them NOT working properly. the other set of the same lights that i strung in the window are working fine. but no one touches them!!

we already have plans for NYE tomorrow night. the older children are designing their goals for 2009, and we'll put them on a piece of construction paper in the shape of a cut-out of 2009. i'm thinking of doing one of my own, but without the flounce and keeping it to myself! ;-)
