a summer affair -- elin hilderbrand (****loved this, nicely written and wrapped up)
the glass castle: a memoir -- jeanette walls + (**not overly impressed with this sad tale by msnbc journalist, impressive only was her family sticking by one another, even though they were disfunctional)
embraced by love -- suzanne brockman (***typical romance, typical ending, fun read)
beneath a marble sky -- john shors + (***reviewed here by me)
that summer place - barnett, macomber, wiggs (**** set of 3 short novelettes, great reads, all set at the same summer place, with different characters, fun book)
ten big ones -- janet evanovich (****great and funny book, quick holiday read)
a breath of snow & ashes -- diana gabaldon (*****fantastic, wonderful and amazing, cannot wait for the next one)
little altars everywhere -- rebecca wells (**** loved this part one from the writer of the ya-ya sisterhood book, made me laugh and cry)
the admiral's bride -- suzanne brockmann (**fun romance with a navyseals pov)
pirate: a thriller - ted bell (****great read, spies and danger in the midst of almost world war 3)
sam's letters to jennifer -- james patterson (***good, not crazy about the writer's style)
atonement -- ian mcewan + (***enjoyable, but still thought it was an odd book)
the friday night knitting club -- kate jacobs + (***good, despite the surprise somewhat sad ending)
bodyguard -- suzanne brockmann (*** good read, but predictable)
the kite runner -- kahled hosseini + (* did not like this book very much, the imagery was good, but it wrapped up far too quickly)
the nanny diaries -- mclaughlin/krauss (*** funny at times, made me wonder if people are really this shallow)
secret life of bees -- sue monk kidd + (***loved the motherhood theme thru this, and the pink house, great book, looking forward to the movie-version)
dakota born -- debbie macomber (***good storyline, slightly predictable, set in the dakotas)
