the week after

the luau deck party was a rousing success. everyone seemed quite well fed, well entertained and eventhough the deck wasn't quite complete, it looked GOOD!! the day was very warm but without the added humidity that drags down any outdoor event. the party tents looked good and kept the guests out of the sunshine. we had loads of food and lots of leftovers! i think we'll be eating potatoes and chicken salad for a few more days yet.

i have photos to share at some point, but it's been a busy week thus far.

directly following the party, hubby and i took babygirl to the emergency room (at the children's hospital) for what turned out to be an allergic reaction to thrree bug bites, early cellulitis and the start of an infection. she is much better now, the swelling is down, she's on day three of a very strong antibiotic and has been in a much better mood today.

i did not think to take the digi cam to the ER, though it might have distracted us for the NINE hours we spent there (they were busy apparently). i do have photos of her healing arm though!

this week we have a math review class, piano lessons, library visit, and speech class. and lots of pool time! it's in the 90s with very high humidity atm, but expected to be cooler tomorrow i believe. it will be welcome relief. it's hard to breathe outside. i feel for those who MUST be outdoors.
