be good

the saturday birthday party went well. the birthday boy wasn't feeling great, so it was a rather more low key calm party. the kids watched a movie, played games and hung out. it was a bit too chilly to be outside. there's more chocolate cake still, and of course i'm ready to toss it out today :-)

sunday afternoon i took  the older two boys shoe and clothes shopping. son-one got shorts, bathing suits and sneakers at kohl's. son-two got shoes only. he's much easier to shop with i might add!! ;-) i picked up socks for son-three and son-four.

it's raining today. sons three and four both have colds/allergies/coughs, so i kept them home from school. which means i didn't get out to run the errands i was anticipating having done today. with luck i will get that done when son-one gets home.

hubby is traveling up north tonight for an early meeting tomorrow. son-three has a pedi well visit in the early am, so my dad is coming tonight to mind the little ones in the morning! maybe i can get some shopping done then.

tomorrow evening the 5th grade class is singing the national anthem for one of the local minor league baseball teams in this area. the big bus for that event leaves school at 430pm. my son-two usually gets home from school around 4pm! he does not want me to pick him up....mind, i'd probably get home around the same time as the bus....what with driving thru the crazy traffic around here. so i'm praying their bus is earlier. he's got to get changed and fed and back in the car so i can drop him off!! my dad and hubby are driving down to see the game, that starts @ 630pm. keep in mind, hubby will be driving back from up north, so if that traffic is bad, they'll be later!! i'm trying not to worry about the timing!! ;-)

i have so much whirling thru my mind, so many things that need to get done before saturday. and so much also going on this week!! i have so many lists written up that i ended up making two main lists, one with shopping items and one with the actual things that need doing!!

so this week i will be ticking things off my to-do list and anticipating good weather on sunday for my nan's party!! :-)

however i will be scarce online!! ;-)
