S and i went for lunch at the mall for my birthday lunch on saturday afternoon. great meal, good ambience. we wandered around the mall and had a great time gabbing and window shopping.
then we head back to my house where apparently dh has organised a party for my birthday!! i was shocked to see my friend LS there, i haven't seen her in something like 8 yrs and she hasn't been to my house in more than 10. she didn't stay long, but just before she left, my friend L arrived!! and then my dad drove up. and then my friend D and her 2 daughters. i had such a nice time. they wouldn't let me do anything!!
dh had gone shopping in the morning and hid all the food!! we had tons of food on the grill, salads, veggies, choco cake and ice cream! S made me a scrapbook of emailed birthday wishes from friends far and near.
sunday we took ds1 to church archery camp! he's away for a week. i really miss him. i just pray he's having a good time. it was raining when we got to camp, raining off and on all the way home and raining all evening and night. and today our partly sunny day is mostly rainy! there is a huge green splotch over this area (and where camp is about an hour away). i just hope he gets some time in for outdoor activities and isn't TOO wet all the time!! i am praying for sunny skies!!
